THE ART WORLD MOURNS WAOW EMERITUS MEMBER LINDA KAY WALKER

Linda Kay Walker, 70, passed away at her home on Friday, September 26th, after a battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by family & friends.

She’s a former Signature and Emeritus member of Women Artists of the West. She was an award winning Vice President and Membership Director as well. Linda traveled extensively with her art, and for simple enjoyment of life and was extremely active in the art world. As well as her membership in WAOW, she also held membership in American Women Artists, The International Guild of Realism, Oil Painters of America, Artists for Conservation and The California Art Club.

Linda was born in Ogden, Utah, graduated San Diego State College, and for 20 years was a stewardess for Western and Delta Airlines.

Linda’s outstanding talents and loving personality will be missed by family and friends.Linda will be missed by many. If you would like to send her husband Greg a card, or memorium, and need the address, request it by email .

Because Linda was a lover of any and all animals, and painted many different species during her years as an artist, the family asks that donations be made to Beltrami Humane Society of Bemidji, Minnesota in Linda’s name in lieu of flowers. You can donate directly to the humane society with a link on the page HERE

Here is the address.
Beltrami Humane Society
1612 Carr Lake Rd SE
Bemidji, MN 56601

If a WAOW prefers to donate to the scholarship fund in Linda’s honor, use the PayPal button on the scholarship link, (member's only pages) and her husband Greg will be notified.

Respectfully submitted,
Mary Ann Cherry
