Lois Montoya Rumohr

It is with sadness that WAOW notes the passing of a wonderful WAOW member, Lois Montoya Rumohr. Lois was a member since the inception of Women Artists of the West. She was currently living and working in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Her work was included in the Encyclpedia of American Artists of the American West .

She is best known for her figurative and representational bronzes. However, Lois was a very versatile artist who turned her hand to graphite sketching or painting besides her sculpture. One of her sculptures is shown below.
