Artist's Statement

Nothing is more spectacular than nature. Artists can only attempt to suggest its wonder and magnificence. The way light and atmospheric conditions play on land, trees, buildings, and water provides an infinite variety of subject matter. California, rich with deserts, seacoast, forests, and mountains, provides endless material for landscape painting. To capture some of its beauty and sense of mystery is my passion.

I paint primarily in oil, and occasionally in acrylic or watercolor.
