An acclaimed artist of watercolor and oil Diane has distinguished herself with her creative and passionate images that celebrate the American West. She has received numerous awards for her work for which she feels very honored.
“As a girl I was crazy about horses. This connection has led to a fascination with images of the American West - particularly the people who make the current-day West an extension of its golden past. Whether depicting horses, dogs, a chuck wagon cook, or cowboys at a branding, my paintings share the essence of people in their everyday lives and illustrate the richness of any given moment in time. Even the simplest task can have a number of extraordinary elements to it. My subjects are genuine and passionate about what they do. They care about their livelihood, their families, their animals, their history, the land, and each other. Telling their stories is a way to embrace a lifestyle that is different from my own.”
Diane and her family recently moved from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Fort Collins, Colorado. |
