Lowery earned her degree in Visual Communication from American College of Art in Atlanta, Georgia and worked as an illustrator for a graphics company that produces signage for wildlife refuges all over the U.S. Her move to the Southwest was a turning point in her life and she's never looked back.
"It feels like I've taken the long way around to finally becoming a professional artist, but it eventually won out, because there's nothing I'd rather have in my hand than a paintbrush".
Her love of the outdoors is reflected in her paintings of New Mexico. She's been juried into many art exhibits and her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the USA. |
