Landscapes - the Rocky Mountains, the Appalachians and the Tidewater areas of the Southeast, plus animals - horses, cattle, dogs and wildlife - all these can be found in Fay Bohlayer's works because they form the fabric of her life. A foxhunter and farmer in the North Georgia mountain foothills, she lives with what she paints. Educated through painting workshops, most notablywith Sam Savitt, Boothe Malone, Larry Wheeler, Scott Christensen and Elin Pendleton, she works in watercolors and oils.
She is a Full Member of the Amercian Academy of Equine Art, a signature member of the Women Artists of the West, and a founding member of the Blackberry Creek Artists. |
