Artist's Statement

Images as diverse as boys in faded blue overalls to a young woman taking on everyday chores evoke imaginative narratives, which seem to look back to the decades past with the fresh eye and confident handling of a thoroughly modern artist.

Gienger-Stanfield is a signature member of Women Artist’s of the West, the Northwest Pastel Society, and the Pastel Society of America. Her recent honors include an award of merit from American Women Artists, a second in the Northwest Pastel Society’s International and the active juror for the portrait/figurative category of the 2009 Pastel Journal 100 Competition.
