Artist's Statement

Sherri Aldawood received her formal art training from the American Academy of Art, Chicago, IL where she was fortunate to learn the basics of drawing, composition, value and color. Since that time she has expanded on that solid foundation, allowing her own personal style to evolve.

Sherri especially enjoys the challenge of painting and is constantly striving to improve her skills as an artist.

Sherri paints a variety of subject matter, but she particularly enjoys plein air painting. She believes that the knowledge gained from painting on location is extremely valuable when painting in the studio.
