Carole Baker received a B.A. in Art and Journalism from the University of Wyoming and then taught art in that state. She has also completed workshops at the Taos Art School in New Mexico and the Scottsdale Art School in Arizona.
Carole's knowledge of equine anatomy derives not only from study, but from years of grooming and caring for her beloved Tennessee Walking Horses. Baker was honored by a first place award for one of her equine sculptures, "Flashdance" at Equine Art 2003.
Intense work with various charities has resulted in Carole donating work to the New Mexico Humane Society, Bomar Equine Rescue and the Montana Cystic Fibrosis Auction.
"I have been dedicating some of my sculpture to my favorite charities.
Currently, I am donating eight sets of doberman bookends to Doberman Rescue NM, Inc. and ALL proceeds go to that organization. They are both crop-earred and natural earred and I'm quite excited to see them cast.
