Since my childhood, art has been an outlet for my creativity. The more involved I became with capturing and translating what I see in my mind for others to view, the more important this expression has become to me. From a pleasant past time to a consuming passion, my technique and my work have coalesced over my life.
A contemporary artist, I enjoy capturing landscapes, wildlife and still life objects. After working with a number of media, I chose to focus on pastels to create detailed and realistic renderings of the glories of nature. I view my own work as a "work in progress" as I continue to define and refine my own interpretations.
I find inspiration by being outdoors-on foot, horseback, or in a kayak. I travel frequently in northwestern Montana and feel drawn to capture the majesty and grandeur of Glacier National Park and the surrounding area as well as the wild life inhabitants.
