While my BS is in finance and accounting from CSU, with minors in art history and anthropology, my first love has always been art, and recently decided life was too short, and to devote my time and energy to painting. Impressionistic Realism is how I would describe the style of my landscapes. I strive to use the medium of oil paint to depict the light and beauty that I see in God’s creation all around me. I travel the Rocky Mountain region, especially, Colorado and Wyoming, in search of the places in America that essentially haven’t been changed by human intervention.
Impressionistic Realists that have inspired and influenced me through the years have been Clyde Aspevig, Scott Christensen and Matt Smith. I have studied with Jeannie MacKenzie, Dan Young and Jim Wilcox, receiving numerous awards in juried art exhibitions.
At present, I maintain my studio in Fort Collins, Colorado.
