Artist's Statement

Color! I just can't get enough of it. I like my cows blue, my horses salmon and my meadows shot with creamy yellow sunlight and rich purple shadows. That special beauty that is Colorado inspires my bold landscapes. Add to that a touch of whimsy and the result, I hope, is a painting that will keep you smiling every time you walk by.

Because I've lived with and loved horses, I paint them as I see them: not just beautiful, but sometimes grumpy and lazy or haughty - always with a little attitude.
