"In order to represent an animal as an individual, it is my intention to depict the distinct character and personality of each, for they are all unique. Surrounding them in a significant and attractive landscape should hold equal importance."
Beth Carlson’s gift with oil painting has made her the choice of many animal lovers and Sporting Art collectors across the country. Because of her extensive background with animals, she consistently captures the individual personality as well as the physical characteristics of her subjects. She has trained and shown both horses and dogs successfully at national levels. She is well known for her depiction of animals in landscapes in a style blended with French Impressionism and English Realism. Many of her paintings have graced the covers of Gray’s Sporting Dog Journal, The Pointing Dog Journal and The Chronicle of the Horse. Beth is represented by galleries across the country.
