Gloria is a retired psychiatric RN who enthusiastically paints wildlife. As a native San Diegan she has access to the world famous zoo for her subjects as well as the rural back country where she and her husband live. Three weeks photographing and sketching in Tanzania broadened her depth of appreciation for the conservation of wildlife.
Gloria is a signature member of Artists For Conservation and donates 20% of her animal paintings to various conservation efforts. Her art exhibits provide information about the animals depicted as an educational means to inform the public.
She has won various awards in juried shows and designed the sold-out Starbucks/San Diego Zoo flamingo tumbler which was used in a conservation fund raising effort. |
