Deborah LaFogg Docherty’s art combines two great loves: nature and painting. Most of what she paints are from life experiences. While working in nature, she strives to give people a glimpse of how animals live in the wild, raise their young, court and survive. She appreciates the opportunity to into a secret world so many never get a chance to see and to provide a better understanding of the world we share.
Deborah’s quest has been exciting and rewarding. Her journeys have taken her from Everglades National Park to Denali National Park. Museum visits both at home and abroad have added to her development, being especially inspired by the richness of Degas pastels at the Louvre. Deborah also works in oils and acrylics.
