Artist's Statement

“ Being outdoors as a part of the landscape while painting feeds my soul and gives my work a quality that can’t be obtained any other way.”

Amy rediscovered painting when she and her family moved to Denver, CO.and she enrolled in a class at the Art Students League. Amy began painting the landscape and found that “plein air” painting was her passion. It combined her love of the outdoors with her love of painting.

Amy’s paintings have been in exhibits and galleries in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Virginia. Her work is also in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. One of her paintings has recently been chosen for the annual Breckenridge Music Festival Poster.
