Lindsey Bittner Graham, originally from Louisville, KY, developed an early passion for horses and drawing while working in stables. Her family moved to Colorado in 1970, and she then went on to graduate with a BA in Art from Colorado State University. Lindsey enjoyed a long, successful career as a locally and nationally known fashion illustrator before pursuing her passion for oil painting in recent years.
Lindsey’s award winning work has been featured in Southwest Art, American Art Collector, Western Art Collector and Art Horse magazines. Selected 2012 shows include the Oil Painters of America Western Regional Juried Exhibition, the American Impressionist Society National Juried Show, the annual American Academy of Equine Art Invitational Show, the 2012 Coors Western Art Show silent auction and the Colorado Governor’s Invitational Art Show. Major awards include the William J. Schultz Award for Oils (American Impressionist Society 2011 National Juried Exhibition); Best in Show Award (Fine Art Views BoldBrush monthly online painting competition, July 2011); Popular Choice and Sam Savitt Award (for best portrayal of horses in action, American Academy of Equine Art Fall 2010 Open Juried Competition).
She and her husband currently reside in Colorado where she finds most of her inspiration for her subject matter.
