Artist's Statement

My art education started here in Greeley with a minor in fine art at UNC. Several years and three children later, I have taken many workshops and classes in Greeley, Loveland, Estes Park and Denver. My style is best described at American expressionism, with oil paint being my main medium.
Presently, besides working en plein air I am enjoying figure and portrait painting in studio.

"Lake Coeur d'Alene"

Oil

Both pieces were done en plein air with oil paint and represent my love of the outdoors. "Lake Coeur d'Alene" was done in Idaho where my car was used as my studio. This was my first visit to Idaho, what a beautiful state!
