I can't imagine my life without painting, making pottery, or teaching others. I live in a small town with hills and cliffs as my front door view. The town is surrounded by a reservation. I have been teaching art for over thirty years and presently teach on the reservation at an Indian school, as well as a junior college in town. This lifestyle has caused me to slow down and enjoy my surroundings, wildflowers, and wildlife.
My medium of choice is watercolor. I love to use multiple textures and layers of paint against the softness caused by an airbrush.
My paintings and pottery have won numerous state and national awards including over thirty best of shows and most recently third place in the 2013 Conservation Stamp Contest. Although I truly enjoy the art shows and selling my artwork, the process of creating the artwork is my passion. My watercolors and tile murals are in many public and private collections in the United States and beyond.
