Artist's Statement |

Art has always been my passion. Throughout my life, I have tried to involve myself in art. Although I have been painting for a number of years, it was not until recently that I have been able to devote all my time to this endeavor. Painting is a wonderful challenge and a constant learning experience. I like to paint both plein air and in the studio. My favorite subjects include landscape, still life, and figurative art. I am fascinated by patterns of light and shadow and driven to capture that moment in time. People say my paintings are peaceful. It is truly a gift to view the world as an artist. Whether I am outdoors or inside setting up a still life, I am humbled by the beauty we are so blessed to see and experience from the largest landscape down to the tiniest leaf on a plant. |
