Carol Marander is an artist living and working in Fort Collins, Colorado. She graduated with honors from Colorado State University where she majored in sculpture and painting. Carol enjoys both pastel and watercolor painting.
“Spending time in nature and appreciating the beauty around me has always been an inspiration for my paintings. I have been exploring the themes of rivers, cliffs and canyons in my artwork for some time. These themes spring from many adventures I have enjoyed rafting and hiking in the wilderness. I let my images speak to me on an intuitive level while I paint my emotional response to nature. The colors, shapes, smells and sounds combine in special moments. I try to capture these moments in my paintings."
Carol is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and the Colorado Watercolor Society, and an Associate Member of the Women Artists of the West, Allied Artists of America and the Western Colorado Watercolor Society.
