Artist's Statement

"As a girl I was crazy about horses. The connection has led to a fascination with images of the American West—particularly the people who made the current-day West and extension of it it's golden past. Whether depicting horses, dogs, a chuck wagon cook, or cowboys at a branding, my paintings share the essence of people in their everyday lives and illustrate the richness of any given moment in time. Even the simplest task can have a number of extraordinary elements to it."
