Art has been an important part of my life but until my children were grown, I painted for my own pleasure. Since retiring from the business world I have continued my art education in college courses and attending workshops with nationally and internationally recognized artists. Currently I am privileged to teach watercolor classes at our local art center.
I enjoy painting in watercolor, oils, and have recently begun to use pastels for portraiture. My subjects include still life, florals, people, and any other subjects which catch my eye.
"My hope is that I transmit my feelings to viewers about the things I paint, whether it is a beautiful flower, landscape, or just depicting ordinary things and events in daily life. I try to create a memory of what captures my interest about God’s wonderful creations, whether it is the light streaming across a flower petal or a special place I have been. I want to allow the viewer to see those things through my eyes."
