Artist's Statement

Terry’s passion for drawing animals started as a young child and showed a keen interest in drawing horses and dogs. Her work today reflects her love and admiration of these two animal families and also of wildlife. She strives to bring the personality of the individuals portrayed through the realism of her work.

Terry has recently returned to oil painting after a long hiatus; and, just recently started working with watercolors. In addition to oils and watercolor, she has continued with photography and resumed her work in pencil/graphite.

An associate member in WAOW, she is also a member of the California Art Club and the San Gabriel Fine Arts Association. She accepts a limited number of commissions per year.

"In Flight"

Watercolor

This lovely white heron took flight so effortlessly from the ground. It was an amazing image which was greatly emphasized by the sun’s back lighting.

This work was juried into Watercolor West and the California Art Club exhibitions.
