Nina Cobb Walker, a native Texan has studied art, both in college at the University of Texas at El Paso and with prominent artists since 1979. She has studied extensively in the classical Russian oil painting tradition with renown Russian artist, Aleksander Titovets
Nina, as a progressive artist motivated to the mastery and perfection of her art, has participated and been juried into many local, regional, national and international art shows, which include Women Artist of the West, Oil Painters of America, Texas Masters. In the International Art Show in Raton, New Mexico, she won first place in oils and also a merit award in the National League of American Pen Women, Inc.
Nina is a member of the Women Artists of the West, Oil Painters of America, El Paso Art Association, the National League of American Pen Women, and she is a founding member of the Classical Impressionists of El Paso. In addition to actively showing and participating in the art community, Nina teaches private oil painting classes to future up-and-coming artists in El Paso. |

This was painted from a trip I made to Copper Mountain, Colorado. It had snowed and the small body of water was very icy. The cold and ice were my inspiration for this painting. |
