“From the outset my interest in art has always been there. I do believe this gift came from my mother, who was an exceptionally creative and talented craftsman. Still life painting in oil was my beginning, and I used oils for many years. Eventually though, I became interested in acrylic and pastels. Though I remain a still life enthusiast, my subject matter has expanded. My work usually involves a search for light and or mood, and must generally challenge me in some way. That is, how can I impart my vision of a subject to speak to a viewer as it does to me. It is a lofty quest, but one well worth the effort.”
