I have a BA in fine arts from the University of New Mexico in intaglio printmaking (etching). I have studied with some wonderful artists: Greg Kreutz, Kim English, and Doug Dawson, to name a few.
I'm a signature member of The Pastel Society of New Mexico and an associate member of Women Artists of the West. That's the credentials. I was born in Albuquerque, N.M., awhile back.
Ok-some while back-and am a 3rd generation New Mexican and was raised in a home filled with beautiful treasures of the past. My parents are avid collectors and I was exposed to many styles of art and elegant objects. I credit my love of the exotic and unusual to my parents who always endeavored to expose me to the wonders of this world. I was fortunate to have time to study and develop an appreciation for fine art. For me, to be able to really "see" while observing is a blessing, and one I strive to achieve in my work.
My most recent award was "Best of Show" at the "Land of Enchantment" show in Los Alamos, New Mexico in 2007. |
