Artist's Statement

I am a native Idahoan from a family of farmers, pilots, teachers, inventors, artists and musicians. I graduated from Colo. Women’s College, received a BFA from the University of Colorado, Boulder. This being the beginning of my education. MY studio is our former dairy barn, it has served as a local art center for workshops, drawing groups and for many years my annual art show. I taught high school art for two years plus many workshops in painting, drawing and sculptutre.

“Through these many years of search and research I have come to believe that doing art is a response to one’s inner sensibilities. Though I work in several media, drawing is the unifying factor in all of my work. I respond to humans, horses, and hills since they have those wonderful lines that are pleasing to the eye, and they symbolize the things I want my art to say."
