Artist's Statement

The last 3 years have been very successful for Sharon with Best Painting award at the Celebration of Western Art at the Grand National Rodeo; Cow Palace, San Francisco, CA, Best Drawing award at Preview 2000, Bosque Conservatory of Fine Arts, Clifton, TX and a Gallery Award at The Western Spirit Art Sale and Show, The Old West Museum, Cheyenne, WY. This award provided four artists the opportunity to be showcased at the Old West Museum’s Gallery Awards Art Show and Sale held October 2001.

In 2002 she received two Nominations of Award at the San Dimas National Western Art Exhibition and Sale, San Dimas, CA, an Award of Merit in the Western Art division at the California State Fair at Sacramento, CA and Second Place at the Brushes and Blues Festival at La Purisima Mission, Lompoc, CA.

Most recently in 2003 she has won the Poster Award for a Breast Cancer fund raiser to be held at the Reagan Presidential Library in October of 2003. She has been included in the artist’s roster for the Cattlemen’s Western Art Show and Sale in Paso Robles, CA.
