Artist's Statement

"...I have been creating art since I can remember but it wasn't until 1998 that I tried sculpting and was hooked!"

Since then I have been showing my work in many juried shows around the U.S. where it
has received numerous awards over the years. I strive on keeping the art, balance, concept and design working in each piece. I also keep the fun in it, making many who see it smile, and that is a great satisfaction.

I do commission portraits also. A challenge, but so fun.

The action in this bronze exemplifies the sense of movement that Michael gets in her sculptures - movement that can only be learned by contact with her subject.

This was a Calgary Stampede Trophy Bronze 2008. Limited number available to
the public.
