As a watercolor artist I push the medium to get deep, bold colors in my detailed paintings. I search for antiques and castaway treasures that say, "Paint me." Many of the items come with a history. I wonder what they would say if they could speak. I want the viewer to spend time looking at my paintings and interact, not only visually, but emotionally, and imagine the old windmill, the antique canning jars, or the rustic barn in another time and place.
