Artist's Statement |
Cecy Turner is also a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society and Southwestern Watercolor Society. Her oils and watercolors have been featured in American Artist Magazine, North Light magazine and The Best of Flower Painting. She has won awards in Oil Painters of America, NWS, and American Artists Professional League. Her work has been chosen twice for the Top 100 Arts for the Parks.

| This is the second painting of my Grand Canyon series from my trip two summers ago. Watercolor was my chosen medium for this because it lends itself to starting light and misty, then building up to the darker values in the foreground. |
