Artist's Statement |
Sandy's passion for her subject matter and her chosen mediums of watercolor and sculpture is evident in her creations. Her work captures the softer, gentler side of life, especially life in the American West which can tend to appear harsh. Sandy's work has been exhibited and can be found in collections around the world. She is a signature member of WAOW, an American Academy of Equine Art associate member and has exhibited with the Society of Equine Artists in the UK.

| Capturing this mother and her baby were a delight to my artist senses. Serenity, peace and security seemed to speak to me through this whole scene, in the mother and her baby, the branches of the ancient tree that frame the two as if to embrace and protect, and the peaceful still water that reflects their quiet moment together. |
