We are honored to have these artists support WAOW by participating in our members' show.

We are very excited to bring you the “big event” of the year. As our membership is across the country, East to West, we will meet in the middle at Hilligoss Galleries, Chicago, Illinois.

One of WAOW’s objectives is to uphold excellence in women’s fine art; therefore, we are very happy to be honoring Nancy Guzik with a WAOW Award of Excellence. Ms. Guzik will be judging WAOW members work and will also present the 2007 Exhibition awards.

Nancy Guzik and Kristen Thies (Author of Wisdom & the Dreamer: Achieving Fulfillment in the Arts) will enhance our opening weekend with a keynote/slide presentation and catalog/book signing event. This will be a great show for all to attend. The opening weekend begins on Friday, Nov. 9th with an awards banquet with a slide presentation by Nancy Guzik and a creativity presentation by Kristen Thies followed by a book signing by both presenters. Saturday the public and press will enjoy a meet-the-artist day, member artist demonstrations and lectures and an opening reception. See text to the right for more information.

Hilligoss Galleries, in Chicago, is a perfect marriage of artist, collector and setting. It is noted for its spacious, warm and elegant ambiance in the modern, fast paced metropolis of Chicago, Illinois.

Following the awards, Nancy Guzik will be joined by Kristen Thies in two presentations vital to the success of women in today’s art world.

“The Art of Nancy Guzik”
Nancy Guzik will take us on an unforgettable journey into her life as an artist as she narrates her latest digital presentation. Experience her love of the world–especially the children and animals in it as they grace her paintings.

“Creativity versus the Business Mind:
The Art of Business”
Kristen Thies, director of West Wind Fine Art, will wake us up to creativity and common sense from the viewpoint of a successful gallery owner, graphic designer, publicist, literary agent, art publisher, executive producer of videos and DVDs, Marketing Executive for Richard Schmid's best-selling Alla Prima, and author of her own best-selling book, Wisdom & The Dreamer: Achieving Fulfillment in the Arts.

The presentations by Nancy and Kristen will be followed first by a question-answer period, then by book-signings:
